History of Kazakh

Kazakh evolved from Chagatai Turkic and developed distinct features on the Eurasian steppe. It used Arabic script until 1929, then Latin until 1940, then Cyrillic. Independent Kazakhstan is now returning to Latin. Kazakh nomadic culture has preserved oral traditions including epic poetry.

Is Kazakh Hard to Learn?

Hard

Kazakh has vowel harmony and agglutinative grammar like other Turkic languages. Currently written in Cyrillic, it's transitioning to Latin script by 2025. Learning Turkish first provides a significant advantage due to shared Turkic roots.
